Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Today was my “Monday” since I took a long weekend and it was tough to get up this morning! My husband kept trying to get me out of bed and ready for work but I wanted to just relax under the covers. The weather today and this past weekend was gorgeous – blue sky, bright sun, and cool breeze. On Sunday we went to Hornstra Farms, which I’ll recap in a future post, and I wore my favorite summer maxi dress!
Favorite Summer Maxi Dress
I actually received this London Times maxi dress before my honeymoon from a Stitch Fix delivery. The color is great since mint green is one of my favorites and the black pattern adds extra dimension. Also, the length is perfect for a tall gal like me! Most maxi dresses are still a hair too short but this dress fits perfectly. I have also washed it multiple times since purchasing and it hasn’t shrunk. That’s definitely a win in my book!
Only downfall is that since the dress is a halter, it has a little button that needs to be hooked behind my neck and it’s almost impossible to do myself. Almost impossible, as I have done it once on my own because I was determined to wear this to work!!
Handbag & Bangles
My mom gave me the cutest bag for my birthday last year with a gold horse emblem on the front. This cross body fits a ton of cards but since it’s so thin, the bag isn’t the best for a phone. But that’s okay, because it’s so cute! I definitely wanted to take advantage of this gorgeous color while it’s still summer!
I also love these bangles from Kate Spade! Can you tell mint green is one of my favorite colors?! These bangles are so versatile – pair them with jeans for a day out or dress for work. I’ll share a little secret – the best time to buy these bangles is during a major holiday sale at a Kate Spade outlet. The current price of a bangle is around $48, depending on style, and I think I paid around $20! (Maybe even less!!) You can’t beat that price and with Labor Day coming up there are bound to be great sales right around the corner.
I am sure I will be wearing this dress a few more times before summer ends!
